Firstly, my apologies for not posting this last night. I’ll be honest – I’ve been suffering from horrible jet lag ever since I arrived from Montreal, and it hit me last night. I headed straight home after my show and went straight to bed. I’m back on deck now, relatively, so here’s a wrap of what happened.
There was a young lady in the crowd dressed in a shirt so blatantly Scottish, she had to be a tourist:
I was right, she was an Aussie. An Aussie that loved Scottish Ceilidh Dancing. I asked her to demonstrate a few steps and she said she needed a partner, then motioned to me to join in. The audience broke into a rendition of Scotland the Brave and before I knew it we were dancing. I had no time to film it, but thankfully someone did, and posted it to my facebook page.
Unfortunately I can’t quite work out how to link to it, but if you want to see it, why not click here http://www.facebook.com/officialadamhills and look for Anne Marie’s post.
In other news, I stumbled across a fourteen year old Scot called Cameron, who came to the stage and towered above me. I tested my theory that only a young Scot could be so tall, and brought a fourteen year old Aussie to the stage as well. The comparison was startling:
To be honest, they were both pretty big.Well played to them both.
Somehow between these lads, and the Ceilidh Dancing, and my usual stories about the Queen and Arthur the Pizza Guy, I ended up with a show. Of course I also plugged my campaign to raise cash for the Sick Kids, and if you’d like to help hector and I out, please click here www.justgiving.com/AdamHillsHector Alternatively, UK peeps can donate by text. Just text the words HECT87 and the amount you wish to donate in pounds to 70070.
It has been slow going, but I am planning a special show on my final night to raise the total somewhat.
More details to come.
