OK, it’s 3.21am in Melbourne. I started filming scenes for a Greg Fleet-penned series at 11am, did my show at 7pm, and just finished shooting more scenes. I am due in the Spicks and Specks office at 10am tomorrow to write next week’s shows. Suffice to say – this blog may be a little short.
The main people to play with me tonight were:
1) Jenny – a latecomer who refused to tell me who she thought was the oldest member of the front row, until I told her I’d delve into her life. Then Bam! She nailed it.
2) Two young girls wearing home made shirts inspired by Tim Minchin’s “Adam Hillsong” on Spicks and Specks:
3) And some nerds:
I did tweet for captions to that photo and received (among others):
Cillian_Coleman talk nerdy to me 😉
TheMaxPictures Moments before the π fight.
arozenbachs Looks like Steve Jobs has been to Melbourne five times.
I then jumped into the middle of them, dragged up a hot but un-nerdy 16 year-old girl from the front row and created a scene from a 1980’s Nerd Movie in which – I played the dumb jock that tries to hit on the hot girl; one nerd tells me to take my hands off her and knocks me out then walks off with the two nerdy girls after they remove their glasses and reveal their beauty; then the hot girl walks off with the two remaining male nerds. All while Jessie’s Girl blared from the speakers.
In Chris Hughes News – our attempt to make a random IT Manager famous is gaining momentum. It looks like he may be appearing on a billboard by the beginning of next week.
Funds wise, we have raised over $5000 for The Simon Rhoden Foundation – which means we only need another $15000 to make him strip in Fed Square on the final Saturday of the Festival.
And someone in Norway has written a blog about Chris here:
