I have been receiving lots of messages/comments/queries asking when and where I will be gigging this year. Although none of the official programme guides have been printed, there are some tickets on sale for my new tour, so I thought I’d give you a website heads-up so you can get in early.
My new show will be called “Inflatable” and will kick off with a World Premiere in Brisbane on the 13th of March. From there I will be taking the show to Adelaide, Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney; and eventually Hobart and Perth. Tickets are available for most of those shows, and more details can be found at the live dates page of this website.
International fans might be happy to hear that I am pencilled in for the Kilkenny Cat Laughs Festival in June, another run in Edinburgh for August, and will hopefully make it to Amsterdam and Paris, as well as a UK Tour for the end of the year.
To get myself into shape for all this, I’ll be starting the trialling of new material this weekend in Sydney and Katoomba, before kicking off the return of the Nectar Lounge Trial Shows in Melbourne. They will take place every Sunday at 6pm at Nectar Lounge, Flinders Lane, and will feature the best of Melbourne’s comedians trying out their new shows. As always, entry will be a gold coin donation at the door, and this year all proceeds will go to Beyond Blue.
The first show will be on Sun Feb 1, and will probably feature myself and Adam Rozenbachs, as well as Hannah Gadsby, Adam Vincent and whoever feels like dropping in. There has been a lot of interest from some fairly high-profile comics this year, so stay tuned.
To top all this off – Spicks and Specks will return on Feb 4 with an episode featuring Rebecca Barnard, Dave O’Neil, Felicity Ward and Guy Pearce. You heard me – star of Memento, LA Confidential, Priscilla – Guy Pearce. If you’re wondering, he was on of the loveliest guests we’ve ever had.
I think that’s all for now, sorry for the amount of details, and lack of comedy in this blog. There was a lot to convey (and I am slightly distracted by the tennis on the TV behind me)
Hope to see you at a gig soon
